We have at our disposal several stretching frames and drying ovens at Finipur that enable us to treat materials up to a width of 325cm. The flexible material, pre-coated or not, is guided through the drying oven by means of a chain with pins or clamps. By doing this, the residual water can evaporate from the material and we get a dry and coated end product after being on the stretching frame. In some cases, it is only necessary to fasten the shape of the material or fabric so that it is no longer susceptible to shrinkage. We can perform this thermofixing on these stretching frames. We can also fix the coating to the substrate this way too. This crosslinking entails a chemical reaction between polymer chains in order to bind them together.
