Coating by impregnation

For impregnation or full-bath coating, the substrate is soaked in a liquid and then pressed out in a controlled manner using a 2-roller system. The recorded weight of coating is expressed as the ‘pick-up’, a percentage of the total weight of the fabric. After impregnation, the substrate is dried and fixed to achieve the desired properties.

Impregnation can be applied to almost all flexible materials, including knits, fabrics, non-wovens, etc., and makes the materials waterproof, harder or softer, fire-retardant, anti-bacterial, easier to cut, and improves fibre bonding.

We impregnate the materials on a stretcher dryer with maximum width of 3 m 10 cm.
